Steve is a proud alumnus of Detroit Public Schools. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Michigan University and his master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University. He holds a deep belief in serving others and ensuring all people have access to quality health care.
Steve has worked in nonprofit community health care for over 20 years. He is a passionate mental health advocate, including serving as the Board President for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Michigan as well as Workplace Mental Health and Criminal Justice committees with NAMI National. He has specialized in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Strategic Planning, Compliance, and Community Engagement.
